Title: Real-Time fMRI Brain Computer Interface

Speaker: Dr. Rainer Goebel

Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, Maastricht University, Netherlands

Dr. Goebel is professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, at the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He is also director of the Maastricht Brain Imaging Centre and leads the “Neuromodeling and Neuroimaging” group at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience, Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Goebel’s core research interest is the question which neuronal representations are used in the brain and how they are processed to enable specific perceptual and cognitive functions. He is an expert in neural network modelling and the development of advanced analysis tools for multi-scale and multimodal data integration, amongst which is the widely known BrainVoyager. He has pioneered techniques based on brain computer interface and neurofeedback. More details: http://www.brainvoyager.com/RainerGoebel.html
