Thomas Reiner received 
his PhD in 2009 from the Technical 
University of Munich, Germany, where
 he was trained as a synthetic
 chemist. After graduation, he accepted 
a position as a post-doctoral fellow at
t he Center for Systems Biology at
 Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School under 
the mentorship of Ralph Weissleder. In 2011, he was promoted to Instructor at
 Harvard Medical School in 2011. The 
following year, he transferred to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he and his group specializing in the development of mono- and multimodal imaging agents for whole body and intraoperative imaging.
